Colonie Central High School has been ranked 5th in the Capital Region for having the best teachers, according to the education data website Niche, which reviews and publishes statistics on schools and neighborhoods all across the country. The ranking is based on many factors including but not limited to teacher tenure, student-teacher ratio and student and parent ratings of teachers. more information

8 CCHS Fall Teams Earn Scholar Athlete Distinction

Eight Colonie Central High School varsity sports teams received Scholar Athlete distinction this fall. Scholar Athlete teams earn this award for having 75% of their team's roster average a 90% GPA or higher. Overall, 60% of all CCHS varsity athletes this fall carried a GPA of 90% or higher.

Colonie United Patriots Challenges Raises $1,500

The Colonie United Patriot Challenge, a competitive Obstacle Course Challenge including stations run by the Army National Guard, was held on Nov. 5 at the Crossings. Colonie High School students and faculty competed against Shaker High School students and faculty. iCARE Kicks Off Two-Year South Colonie Anti-Poverty Campaign

A student-led initiative at Colonie Central High School will focus attention on poverty in the district and offer quiet help to those in need. iCARE Earns $500 Donation in Honor of CCHS Graduate Cogan

CCHS iCARE received a $500 donation over the summer in honor of graduate John Cogan. Cogan, Class of 2016, was recognized last school year for outstanding student involvement through the "13 Kids Who Care" program sponsored by WNYT Channel 13, the Times Union and St. Peter's Health Partners.
