The plan maintains all existing programs while expanding opportunities that promote equitable academic access and student support services. It also prioritizes the long-term sustainability of district programs and facilities to benefit future generations of Colonie students.

The South Colonie Central School District will hold elections for one seat on the Board of Education in May 2025. The election will take place on Tuesday, May 20 and the winner will serve a five-year term that will expire on June 30, 2030 to succeed Brian Casey.
