Colonie celebrates six seniors at fall signing day
South Colonie Central School District celebrated its senior athletes during a Fall Signing Day event on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The event took place in the MUG at Colonie Central High School, bringing together students and their families to honor these athletes as they signed their National Letters of Intent or commitment letters to play at the collegiate level.
The following athletes were celebrated during the event:
- Katie Parisi, University at Albany (Division 1), Softball
- Adrianna Laraway, Le Moyne College (Division 1), Softball
- Sienna Wheeler, Bryant University (Division 1), Women’s Golf
- Izzy Trimarchi, Long Island University (Division 1), Acrobatics and Tumbling
- Nate Figueroa, Long Island University (Division 1), Baseball
- Sydney Pleat, Queens College (Division 2), Women’s Basketball
"Today is a proud moment for Colonie Athletics as we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and talent of these incredible student-athletes, " said South Colonie Athletic Director William Roemer. “Signing day is a recognition of not only their athletic achievements but also their commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. We are excited to see what the future holds for them as they continue to excel at the collegiate level, and we are honored to have been part of their journey."
This ceremony marks a special milestone in the student-athletes' careers as they take the next step in their sports journeys, continuing their athletic pursuits at the collegiate level.
