Meet Wolfie and Alpha!
The day was September 5th, 2024. It was Wolfie’s first day of high school at a brand-new school. "What if all the humans don't like me?", Wolfie thought. On the bus, they were getting many looks. Nobody would sit by them or even talk to them. At 7:00, the bus had arrived at school and Wolfie stepped out, looking at the giant school ahead of them. Stressed out, they strutted up to the main entrance reading "Colonie Central High School". They had first period in room 114, an English classroom. Wolfie didn't know much English, which added to their stress. Minutes later, they found the door to room 114, took a deep breath, and stepped in. To Wolfie’s surprise, there was someone just like them in the class, another wolf. Neither of them have gone to school with another wolf in years. Wolfie immediately introduced themselves to the other wolf whose name was Alpha. Through quick conversation, the two realized they had gone to Saddlewood Elementary for pre-k, then got separated for elementary and middle school. Wolfie had gone to Saddlewood all five years, and Alpha moved to Forest Park. They were so relieved to have each other again. Sharing schedules, they found they had lunch together every day. Filled with joy, they realized that high school really might not be too bad after all!
