He was the first school resource officer at Colonie Central High School and spent more than a decade teaching the DARE program at Lisha Kill Middle School. He also served as Board of Education President during the 2009-10, 2010-11, 2022-23, and 2023-24 school years.
Casey’s service has been recognized with numerous awards, including the South Colonie Board of Education President’s Spotlight Award, the Colonie Police Department’s Distinguished Service Award, and the Command Recognition Award. In 1994, he was inducted into the Colonie Central High School Hall of Fame.
A U.S. Navy veteran and graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, Casey’s ongoing dedication to public service reflects his passion for education, safety, and youth development.
