Colonie Central High School inducts Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2024
Colonie Central High School proudly inducted its 2024 Athletic Hall of Fame class during a ceremony held on Thursday, Oct. 10 in the school’s auditorium. The event celebrated the achievements of athletes, coaches, and contributors who have left a lasting impact on the school’s storied athletic history.
The evening began with a warm welcome from South Colonie Athletic Director Bill Roemer, who addressed inductees, families, and community members. He emphasized the importance of honoring those who have helped shape the proud tradition of Colonie athletics. News Channel 13 Sports Director Rodger Wyland then took over as the emcee, sharing engaging stories and conducting interviews that highlighted each inductee’s profound legacy.

- Jennifer Mortimer (Kramer)
- Joe Trimarchi
- Ken Strube
- Marco Tomaso
- Tony Rossi
- Tehresa (Coles) Massena
- Wendy Kelley
Following the induction, the community gathered to watch Colonie’s first home game on the new turf field, where the Wolf Pack faced Guilderland in a thrilling contest. The game ended in dramatic fashion, with Colonie clinching a 28-27 overtime victory.
The Hall of Fame event was not only a reflection on the past but also a celebration of the future, aligning with the school’s "Run with the Pack" initiative. Each inductee stands as an inspiration to current and future students, embodying perseverance, teamwork, and Colonie pride.
