Colonie to host inaugural girls alumni lacrosse game; Welcoming past and present players
This November, Colonie Central High School proudly hosts its first-ever alumni girls lacrosse game—a unique opportunity for alumni to reconnect with the school community, reunite with former teammates, and witness the latest improvements to Colonie’s athletic facilities. Scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 26, this event celebrates the evolution of Colonie’s lacrosse program, uniting past and present generations of Colonie athletes.
The game will feature alumni facing off against current players in a spirited and competitive matchup, with a possibility for alumni-only scrimmages depending on participation. This inaugural event is designed to honor the shared history of Colonie lacrosse, spotlighting the talent, dedication, and community support that have driven the program’s growth over the years.
“We wanted this game to be more than just a scrimmage,” said Coach Layne Woodard. “It’s a celebration of our program’s journey, our alumni’s contributions, and the support we have from the Colonie community. Our alumni will get to experience the new facilities and see how their legacy has helped shape today’s program.”
Whether you’re an alum gearing up to play or a fan coming to cheer, don’t miss this milestone event! Alumni sign-ups are open now, with the full roster to be announced closer to game day.
