Lisha Kill Middle School announces 2025-26 Agenda Cover Contest winners!

For the past decade, Lisha Kill Middle School has celebrated student creativity through a schoolwide competition, encouraging students to submit original artworks for a chance to have their own selected as the agenda cover for the following year. This tradition has given students the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents – by expanding the contest to include an additional winner’s art to be featured on the back cover, this has given an opportunity for multiple students to be featured these past two years.
This year, submissions consisted of Wolf Pack imagery, honoring the district’s new identity, and solidifying our connection as a unified Pack. Mirroring these ideals, the artwork created by Fahmida Any, a student in Mr. Desrochers’ homeroom, earned first place, and will be featured on the front cover of next year’s agenda. Miya Goddard, from Mrs. Destaso-Jones’ homeroom, was awarded second place, securing her design as the back cover, with her artwork highlighting the personality of the Lisha Kill community. The selection process is led by the building principal, associate principal, and front office staff – ensuring that the winners are selected fairly, and that the artwork reflects the values of the school population. Throughout the years, the contest has encouraged young artists to share their creativity by giving them a platform to reach their peers.
Lisha Kill Middle School’s tradition of agenda covers highlights the imagination and talent of its students, and a dedication to uplifting those within their school community. Congratulations to the winners of the 2025-26 Agenda Cover Contest, and thank you to all of our talented South Colonie artists who participated in this year’s challenge!
